As usual, on my walk to work this morning I was handed flyers by young workers eager to get you in to their café by offering some kind of coffee deal. I always feel compelled to take flyer from these guys. Its not easy doing that job and the people who just walk past and get angry at them make me feel the need to take whatever they are giving me. They’re just doing their job after all. The last flyer this morning was handed to me by a young guy who looked to be a uni student (if they can look a certain way I guess?) so I took what I thought was another coffee flyer only to be shocked and immediately emotional about his message. To meat or not to meat, that is the question….

Seafood, poultry, red and white. They are all types of meat. Meat that I love to eat. However lately I have found myself quite disturbed by both the treatment of animals before they are slaughtered to be put on our plate, and also the amounts we are slaughtering for long term sustainability. After watching a few documentaries recently, it has opened our eyes to the fishing industry and also the way animals (cows, chickens, etc) and kept and then killed for mass production. You hear a lot people saying a lot of things you may not understand, this doco fills in all the blanks.
